"It's Doctor, not Lieutenant you Starfleet Stooge." Juli noted as she was berating a Science Ensign.

"I'm sorry 'Doctor Soong' It won't happen again." The Ensign said nervously.

Juli spokke. "You should be fortunate I'm in a good mood. Otherwise I'd give you a bad review. Yes... That would definately affect your chances of becoming a glorious warmonger. Wouldn't it?"

"Yes Ma'am."

"Now run along little boy. I have important science to attend to. Why don't you go rediscover the wheel or whatever you cute Ensigns do." Juli smiled as she went to go find another science officer to torment.

Neema had observed the exchange for a short period, it was no secret that the newest addition to the crew was far from a voluntary addition and it showed. "They work better if you give them the carrot first" She said as she walked into the lab. "And, Galactic Fleet stooge"

"Well hello Captain. Ready to explore strange new worlds, seek out new civilizations and crush them into line?" Juli noted. "Not that it's any of my business, My motives are entirely selfish. Unlike you Galactic Fleet people, I exist for myself." She smiled. "I just hope I'm alive long enough to go to the mythical planet of Risa and retire there."

"I hope then that when we get there a Risa is still left to retire to. The people we fight have a way of destroying everything that can create joy" Neema replied. "I take it you are settling in fine?"

"Indeed. Let's talk about mass destruction. And lets come to an understanding; this is not my war." Julianna noted. "I am a very selfish person, Captain, but I still have my head screwed on straight. We've created a new life for ourselves in the Delta Quadrant and we have fleets, armies to defend this quadrant. Three hundred years of struggle and triumph, and our worlds have coca trees for chocolate and grapes for wine." She smiled. "And you ask me to fight a war. Some may fight for some glorious cause, me.... I fight for purely selfish reasons; survival, because I'm a selfish woman." She noted.

Neema nodded. "I can appreciate honesty, so let me repay you with the same. Quite frankly I couldn't give a shit about why you fight, just that you fight. You will obey every order I give you and you will give it your all or make no mistake, I will write you up for insubordination. Your first order is to treat your staff with the respect befitting their station and when I enter a room, you stand at attention. Is that understood?" She said, making it very clear that despite her origins she was on a Galactic Fleet vessel now and was going to act like an officer.

"Yes, Ma'am." She said enthusiastically. Inside she knew what was going to happen later on down the line. There was a possibility she'd have to fight for her life to be freed of this glorious crusade.

"Good, now using transwarp we will be back in the Alpha Quadrant in a matter of days, I need you and your staff to prepare to rapidly process three hundred years of development and changes of which we currently have zero forces. It is important that we ascertain structural weaknesses to take advantage of as soon as possible" Neema said, moving on to her second order.

"Understood." She said just as enthusiastically. After all, one had to be enthusiastic for genocide.

"Very well then, I expect the first reports to come in shortly after we arrive." Neema said, turning around to walk out of the room.

"Naive. stupid, ambitious. FOOL." Julianna spat in anger after the door had shut and sure Neema couldn't hear a word. "So what happens when your mad crusade fails. Will the Alpha Quadrant become a graveyard of ambition!?! Revenge!!! Revenge and Stupidity, that's all this is!! Our Federation forefathers must be spinning in their graves. They would look at us with sorrow, and pity every last one of us for our hubris." She said as she was sure Neema was out of earshot. "I should just walk away from this, get as far away as I can. What am I supposed to care if the galaxy commits suicide?!? What am I supposed to do, with my conscience burning in my soul, and my family's madness drilling at my mind." She noted.

Neema walked away from the lab, it was clear she was going to need to get Intelligence to keep an eye on her.
